If you put a cookie rack in the pan, the water will drip down and actually let the shoes dry. Unless you like to let your shoes sit in water. It's way easier to clean than a bunch of pebbles, too. Keep Your Home Safe from Soggy Shoes (in a Snap!) |

When I was a kid, we always did this. We would put the rock in the oven for a few minutes and use crayons. The hot rock would make the crayon melt. It's not for itty bitties since the rock is hot, but it's a cool and cheap craft for the older kids. Drawing on Rocks | Apartment Therapy Ohdeedoh |

My mom bought us the playhouse kit. It's cute, but honestly it doesn't get used much. My son is 27 months and loves the curtains, but they just rest on the top so tend to fall off easily. I have a small fabric box at the foot of my son's bed for this. He's 2 and likes to take toys to bed with him. He'll play quietly or read for a little bit before he falls asleep. I also keep a sippy cup in there in case he's thirsty. Crib Pockets - Good Idea? | Apartment Therapy Ohdeedoh |
