I have been using this list for a year. Even if I don't do it every day, as long as I stick to it most days my house stays so much cleaner. Thank you so much for a very manageable list of household chores.

What about a Galileo thermometer? It is a Glasstube filled with colorful glass balls that raise or lower based on the temperature.

This is great but my first thought was that these people must not have a dog. My dog would have all that eaten in minutes.

I just read thisand it would seem to methat this would make it difficult to have a baby monitor. Ours is secured to the wall and I think thT he can't reach the cord but I'm sure that at some pint that the cord is three feet from the crib since the outlet is located behind the crib. Any ideas on how to make this safer?

It seems really rude to me that your mother insists on getting you something that you have expressed that you don't want regardless if it is a nice thing to have. Stick firm with your decision. It is good practice for when the kiddo comes along later and your mom will think you should do this or that.

I agree with you I would MUCH rather have an energy efficient washer/dryer.

Just because they ask for diapers does not mean that you have to get them. I like the idea of getting your friend other things she can use even if this is her second baby. Things like diaper cream, nursing pads, milk storage bags, nipple cream are nice gifts. What about a gift for the mom like a gift card for a pedicure? I know few pregnant ladies who would say no to that.

I went to the doctor and they got the caked on band aid off by soaking it for a minute in saline and hydrogen peroxide.

We do this about once a year, usually after a high spending month to keep ourselves in check and to get out of the habit of spending too much. It works great and it mostly ends up cutting out eating out so much. We end up. Oiling more and having people over for dinner.

My initial thought was to pair it with black and white. Maybe the black could help with the contract of the gray undertones.

I like to heat them up in a skillet, but I've also found that for corn tortillas putting them in a tortilla warmer (we use this one http://www.crateandbarrel.com/family.aspx?c=752&f=36099&q=tortilla&fromLocation=Search&DIMID=400001&SearchPage=1) and microwaving them gets them to not be so tough.

We have something similar to this that we bought at Lowes:

It is great because it keeps it out of site and is really easy to separate between the two.

We don't have kids yet (in a few months we will though), but we do have a dog and while our backyard sometimes has poop in it, the fact that we walk him twice a day (and clean it up on his walks) makes for less 'waste' in the backyard. Plus it is nice to get some extra exercise.

@anning I live in San Diego now. I am wondering how you made yogurt. Did you just mix yogurt with milk and leave it on the counter overnight?
