Great room. I especially love your bassinet and chair. Where did you find them?

oh my god... the size and layout of this room looks almost exactly like my son's room. (only your window is much prettier. ours is high, and awkwardly positioned on the right side of the wall). We even have a nook next to the closet, like yours, only it has an old built-in desk that we can't decide whether we want to take out or refinish.
So anyway, now I'm embarrassed because I really thought I would never be able to turn his room into something functional and beautiful because of the small size and somewhat cramped layout. My son is 18 months old, and this post is going to serve as my main inspiration when he moves into his new room (which will hopefully be really soon).

Thanks so much for sharing your beautiful and inspiring room. Your son is so lucky to have such an imaginative momma.

I like it. I almost love it. I don't like the toddler bed conversion.
but hate that it's so darn expensive (only because i can't afford it.) I never thought i'd say this, but this $1500 crib looks like it's worth the money. With all the different conversion options, you'd probably spend just as much money (if not more) if you were to buy all those pieces of furniture separately.

Try Rockin' Green Soap! Picks up ALL gross and grimey stuff from clothes and diapers, and rinses clean. I just switched a few months ago. Would never use anything else for my diapers. You should take a look at their facebook page. A lot of customers post the aftermath of soaking seemingly 'clean' clothes and the results are pretty much equally disgusting. Yucky murky dirty water.

I'd still try this recipe though. As a backup or emergency. I'm always looking for ways to replace my household cleaners with homemade alternatives. Vinegar has become a staple household cleaner in my home. Haha.

my son's name is dexter, too! he just turned 5 months. i'm kind of disappointed to see his name will become a trend. and a little surprised to see another mama picked dexter for their new baby, too! we're young, but we're not hipsters. we just love the name. and we got a lot of crap for naming him dexter, too. lol

i guess i'm also a fan of the X names. i helped pick my brothers' names when i was younger, alex and max. :/
