As the owner of a 14-foot wide Philly row home, I'm not all that shocked by a 16-ft home. We'd love that extra two feet!

I'm more interested in that headboard - can we get some details on that?

We have a great door and a large set of shutters that we found at a salvage shop. We plan to use one or the other as a headboard over our bed after we seal them to prevent paint chipping on our pillows. But we have no idea how to mount it! any ideas that won't leave our wall full of holes?

Also from Philly and though I love my teeny little rowhome, these sunny & charming multiroom west coast set ups get me every time! Philly folks, we need to start an active AT Philly community so we can learn what you can *really* do with a rowhome!

I have found that Mr. Clean Magic Erasers leave a residue on my painted walls that is visible from certain angles - it looks worse than the original marks I was trying to erase. Any other tips for removing scuffs up and down the stairs that won't leave a mark?

A non-toothbrush comment. I love the layout of this post. I like seeing a single row of photos with captions immediately underneath, so I don't need to keep scrolling up and down and counting over to see which photo I'm at. I also like that the photos are big enough already that I don't need to click on each to enlarge the thumbnail. I hope to see this type of set up more!

In Philadelphia there is an architectural salvage warehouse around 16th and Fairmount. It's overwhelming but they have amazing pieces in there, from small knick knacks to hardware to mantles to windows, walls and doors. Worth a look. They also negotiate on prices.

A quick way to streamline the busy-ness of the room might be to organize your books by color and reduce the number of pillows/textures/fabrics in the room for a simpler color palette. And I agree with comments above suggesting moving the work space to the corner that currently houses the arm chair, and working that cozy chair into the living space. 2 zones should give you plenty of functionality, and a lot less clutter!
