I really don't understand why people feel the need to be so snarky with their comments. Clearly this shelf is a necessity for the homeowner, so just eliminating it would cause more problems than it would fix. Before & After: A Quick Fix for a Struggling Corner |

@kls987 That's a great suggestion! If you don't want to take the time to put pins on all your clothes, why not try it in the reverse? When you wear an item, it gets a pin on the tag. After the predetermined cut-off time, all items WITHOUT pins get donated. Cleaning Out the Clothes Closet Painlessly |

As a side note, it would seem that the artist who created the woman-skin rug also took fertility drugs, had her eggs harvested, and then packaged them and "marketed" them as "Christy Caviar". Apartment Therapy Chicago | WTF? Designs We're Not Sure We Could Live With |

The electrical tape isn't necessarily ruinous to all walls. I have wood panelling in my basement bedroom and although the landlords tried to "freshen it up" by painting it white, I still hate all the seams. However, their seemingly asymmetrical feel gave me an idea -- I covered each seam, floor to ceiling, with a strip of electrical tape, alternating between red and black (the colors of my bedroom). I hung empty frames at random intervals, and I absolutely LOVE it. Plus, it was much faster (and yes, will be easier to remove) than painting. Hydrogen peroxide is also great for lifting blood stains. It's gentle on most fabrics, even delicates. It also eats away at the scummy stuff that collects around the crevices of my shower drain. I've also used it to soak and whiten shoelaces. Apartment Therapy Re-Nest | Good Question: Hydrogen Peroxide ... Is it Bad for the Environment? |

I lived in a dorm with picture molding and inpenetrable walls. My grandfather used needle-nosed pliers and made me hooks out of pieces of wire coathangers to hang all my pictures; we used thin wire to suspend the pictures from the hooks. They're sturdy and I've re-used them for several things. Apartment Therapy New York | NY Good Questions: Best Way to Hang Art from Rail Molding? |

I still throw them out at the end of the day, but I find that the Bounty Shop Towels (they're blue) are thick and absorbant enough to be rinsed and re-used (unlike the kind of papertowels marketed as rinse and re-use, which I found were falsely advertised).
