I love this room, but even more I love the inspiration that went into putting it together. Such a special place for your little guy! My Room: Isaac Atlanta, GA |

Hmm, I do agree that with some paint they could look pretty cute. But if you are planning on doing some reno's to the house anyway now would be the best time to get rid of them if your not sure. It's only going to be more difficult if you change your mind in a year or two and want to get rid of them then as you will be all moved in. It really depends on if they take up one of your main walls in the room ie. make furniture arranging difficult or not. Keep these Built-In Shelves: Yay or Nay? Good Questions |

I would have to agree with b77, some of those have pretty wide spacing in the railings. I live in Canada, and ones with that wide of spacing don't pass inspections because of the safety hazard. Finding a Replacement Railing for a Mid-Century Home | Apartment Therapy Boston |

These are great! I am just finishing up the book display, and seriously the plans are amazing, they are so easy to follow and the display looks so nice. I just have to sand and paint it now, and then fill it with books. I wouldn't be too quick to give it away, I know its not the most beautiful thing, but it could really save you a few bucks if you can make a cover for it, especially since you said it was comfortable. There are so many things we COULD spend lots of money on for our babies, and it can get pretty expensive real quick, so its nice when something is given to us! If nothing else, maybe try find a local re-upholsterer that can fix it up for you. Ideas To Make This Chair Less Hideous Good Questions | Apartment Therapy Ohdeedoh |

Thanks for this post! Its full of nice ideas. My family ate every single meal together growing up, dinner time was the most important meal of the day, and we had better have had a really good reason as to why we were going to miss dinner. Even when we were sick we still had to sit at the table so long as we could sit up. I think perhaps my parents were too strict about that, but I fondly look back at the many fun and interesting conversations my family had at the table. Coming from a family of 12 kids, it was really the only time in the day we all got together and shared our day. Now my husband and I share meals together at the table daily, and very much enjoy the time spent with our son and each other. Enjoying the Family Dinner Table | Apartment Therapy Ohdeedoh |

I felt the same way when I was looking for bedding for my son. I ended up making my own duvet cover for him, because I decided I wanted a duvet but couldn't find a cover that I liked. Its REALLY simple to make, just make sure you put ribbons on the inside corners to tie onto the corners of the duvet to keep it from bunching up., and put snaps on the bottom. I'm no sewing expert and didn't find it difficult. Duvet vs. Comforter for a Toddler? Good Questions | Apartment Therapy Ohdeedoh |

I am keeping an eye out for a similar house for my son. You could consider painting it blue and adding rocket wings to the outside to make it a spaceship, or convert it into a firehouse? With some paint you can make it pretty boyish. Or if you want it to still be a house consider a farm house or something without pink. Scrapbook paper can also make a nice wallpaper. Good luck! The problem with roosters in backyards is the noise. Most backyard coops are only allowed to have hens as they are much quieter. My opa once had his roosters voice box removed so he could keep it.
