Hi gang - here are a few answers to your questions...
@kendall: Polaroider is correct, the bar/ceramic pots are IKEA.
@zoeroth/csc76: The fabric is from Robert Allen, although it seems that pattern may have been discontinued. We used the same pattern on our dining room chairs: http://bit.ly/DRFabric
@LeeHou: OhJodi is correct; recessed cabinets under the sink allow you to do dishes without banging your knees on the doors. They are original from the '50s; we actually made the conscious decision not "bulldoze them" and refinish them. Sorry they aren't your style.
@Lizzykewl: You're correct - the view out the window isn't the best. Plus, putting the cacti on the bar gets them the most sunlight.

Hi everyone - thanks so much for all the kind words! Hopefully I can answer some of the questions that have come up...

@plumeria & @hoppity85: The "Cookies & Milk" poster is from Threadless.
@verily: The wall color is "Aquatint" from Sherwin-Williams. The cabinets are true red from Benjamin Moore (although I don't remember which number exactly).
@gab18481: We love the white appliances too. We talked about stainless, but we didn't think it fit the feel of the kitchen or our budget.
@carolyn: The cactus and hanging system is from IKEA. And the old pink tiles were actually plastic installed with construction adhesive (no mortar to mess with!).
@ghdjess: Really? People still do that??
@EveryoneElse: Glad you like it!

Cheers,
Matt

I am a big fan of blending the old with the new. While we don't send out physical invitations to our guests, we do put together custom-designed invitations each year which are then emailed to our friends/family and posted to our blog (ie - http://tulanerehab.blogspot.com/2009/12/holiday-par-tay.html) It's the best way to create something personal while utilizing technology to distribute quickly and cost efficiently.
