Yes, yougrowgirl is an excellent resource for beginners. Re Nest also does a wonderful job with posts on gardening. I am an urban gardener, and I grow primarily vegetables and some flowers (in my front yard and back). I have found a tremendous amount of information on www.blotanical.com. I love this. I just put a branch up in the bathroom with my jewelry on it. Also, I needed extra clothes hanging space, so I brought a larger branch in and hung it from the ceiling.
