As far as distributors go, I've seen them unload their frozen burritos (or tamales, can't remember which) from a deli-mex box. Personally I think trader joe's should be used as a supplement to other stores. Their produce is downright scary, asparagus cling-wrapped in foam containers like pork chops? cauliflower, even after making the cauliflower soup from ad hoc to see once and for all if I liked it, I hated it while everyone else raved about it. I still have an aversion to onions since I never ate them as a kid. I love love love carmelized onions, but still find myself eating around them out of habit. eggplant. same as cauliflower, I've had it 5 different ways and still don't care for it. cilantro. I'm one of those people that has the genetics that makes it taste like dish soap.
