Wonderful post....
It's true...take fresh look at miss-matched china cups, pretty glass soda bottles, you might just find the perfect little "something" for your flowers...
{if you need more inspiration or just one more source...please feel free to take a look at my little shop ...I know, I'm plugging, but hey - when I saw this post, I just had to say Hello!}
Now, go pick some lilacs.... :)

p.s. One of my favorite little items to use when I make petite arrangements are little glass votives. They are small, and you can find them in mulitiples...and they really make a statement w/out taking up a lot of space.

I second what redping said....if I have acrylic paint on hand, and bottles on hand, and poly on hand...(which I do...) I'm going to go for it ~
I'm not in the mood to go out and buy more stuff.
I am in the mood to use up what I have and make gorgeous stuff...! :)
