I finally got the Bullet as a gift for Christmas. It's really convenient for my small kitchen. Don't use it religiously but when I do it's for coffee drinks, alcohol drinks, protein shakes/smoothies, and occasionaly to grind coffee.

Surprised how it crushes ice cubes. Nice little gadget!

Mean Green cleaner is good. I use it for cleaning everything in the bathroom. Also use it in the kitchen on the counter and around the faucet.

Another place I found to use Mr. Clean Magic Eraser is for cleaning the refrigerator.

If you are in a rental, check with your apartment manager (landlord) to see if they do seasonal maintenance for A/C units i.e. cleaning, replacing the filter, repairs, etc.

If they do, which should be no charge to you as a renter, then I would advise to have them take care of it.

Where I am now the walkway is so narrow that I can't put any flowers outside my door. Already made it a goal for the next apartment I move into will either have a balcony or patio.

I see what's the problem if people use them in their own kitchens. I use them because it's more convenient plus it makes use for all the grocery bags.

But, hey we all have pet peeves.

CharlesandHudson,

Can you suggest a brand of the CFL light bulbs and where one would purchase them? Thanks.

Envy your solutions for staying organized. Love the newstand magazine shelf.

Cool, I should be receiving my issue in the mail pretty soon.

Can't say I like the new May cover. I guess I would need to have a better look at it first. I don't understand why they always have to have a woman posing on the cover (yes I'm a female).

Never figured this out yet with Domino since I'm a first-year subscriber. Are they directed more towards a home decorating magazine for women or what?

Very minimal and too modern for my taste.

I have an expandable over the sink dish drainer that I got from BB&B. Something similar from the Container Store. I really don't like using it, but it's better than those Rubbermaid plastic drainers with the mats for the counter.

Also, for the most part it holds most of my dishes in one wash. Drying glasses, cups and mugs can make it difficult to stack the other dishes. Overall, I think it's good for people that don't have to do alot of dish washing.

Seems like a low number of entries for the contest.

Love the tiles. I guess my complaint is lack of lighting. Just seems very dark and dreary inside your apartment. I like ample light in my place to brighten it up and even having sunshine beaming through my apartment. I guess that's just my preference.

Otherwise, Joan you have a nice apartment and wishing I could experience living in Paris :).
