I hate my OXO high chair just FYI. It's really hard to keep clean (and I do realize that most high chairs are). Biggest problem is that that the vinyl pads are velcroed onto the plastic seat and have a felt-like backing. You cannot get it wet. So, cleaning it over the sink - even just the top side - is a pain!!! IT's just cruddy all the time. I am hoping to sell it on Craigslist and get a Stokke. I like other things from OXO, though. Their plates, sippy cups and utensils are great. Well-Thought-Out Tabletop from OXO ABC Kids 2012 |

We have this - it is ESSENTIAL for breast pump parts, bottle parts, nipples and zippy cup parts. ESSENTIAL. I always recommend it as a registry item. Straw & Sippy Cup Cleaning Set Family Find |

This nursery is gorgeous. I don't make a lot of comments on AT but I just have to ask, why do folks have such a problem with adults indulging their own design aesthetic when it comes to their kids' rooms, especially a first nursery? Would it really be more interesting to see room after room of the same, tired character-themed crap that's out their for sale? It's the only time in your child's life that you get to make decisions about the way their environment looks, before the hoards of plastic toys and tacky gifts (that you would never choose for your kid or yourself) invade every corner of your home. This particular nursery has a lot of color and interesting things for baby to be stimulated by, while still calming and sophisticated. Very unique and beautiful! I used this recipe (the large one that was originally posted, not the small batch) this past weekend for an annual cookie exchange and decorating party that I hosted. It is fantastic! I made 2 batches which yielded around 100 large sugar cookies that were also cut on the thick side (closer to 1/4 inch). Each batch maxed-out my 11 cup stand mixer and the flour billowed a bit as I added each cup to the wet ingredients. So, be prepared to make a mess - it is worth the clean-up. (Btw, I would not recommend attempting this by hand or even with a hand mixer, you will be exhausted). Thank you for posting this! It will be used every year to come. I've had grain beetle episodes plenty of times and it usually stops at the kitchen - some old flour or or other grain. However, I recently cleaned out my kitchen and still saw them flying around the house. Guess where they were to my horror? A buckwheat eye pillow that I keep in my nightstand and in a sealed jar of dried lavender that I occasionally used in my bath! I have also seen grain beetles invade very old chocolate. Most people don't leave chocolate around for very long. This particular stash was left in an old office drawer. Do You Have Grain Beetles Hiding in Your Pantry? | Apartment Therapy The Kitchn |

One of my pet peeves is when desks are pushed up against the wall so that your back is to the rest of the room. You can still add a small sofa or love seat to the space and make it work. The first suggestion I'd made is to put the desks face-to-face and perpendicular to the window. You could put the sofa across from the fireplace. Furniture Layout & Advice for Dorm Room?
