Our laundry room is in our half bathroom off the kitchen. The set up works really well for us, I have a place to spray my sons diapers off and store the diaper pail. I am glad that it is in room off the kitchen (and not in the kitchen itself). Best Room for the Laundry? |

The best reaction to any christmas gift last year was the bag of yogurt melts in my son's stocking. This year he is getting playdough, underwear and a few small trains. Stocking Stuffer Ideas for a 2-Year-Old Good Questions |

When on a vacation we buy an ornament to hang on our tree. It isn't always an ornament. This year we bought a key chain at the zoo and hung the wooden elephant from some ribbon to make out ornament. Another tradition we started since we had a child is the morning after thanksgiving we have Pie for breakfast, because what kid doesn't love dessert for breakfast, even if it is only once a year. We just painted our living room gray. I am just not sure about it now. It changes so much with the light in the room. At night it feels just right, but during the day it looks almost white. Inspiration: Gray Rooms |

I agree the emails can be overwhelming. I get the emails in digest form. 1 email a day that I can skim over. I find that the daily tasks that come up are things you would often overlook, like dusting the top of the refrigerator or cleaning the cabinent fronts. Having that reminder is nice. I just ignore the cutesy stuff. Fly Lady: Love It or Hate It? |

We have had ants all spring and with a toddler that puts everything he finds in his mouth I was afraid to leave borax or tarro aaround. We put down some food grade Diatomaceous earth along the backside of our house and near the doorway, and a little under the stove where they seemed to be hanging out. The ants are GONE. We might see one or two every now and then and will have to reapply some when it rains. Pesky Pests: How Do You Get Rid of Them | Apartment Therapy DC |

I currently have a 1050 sq ft home. And while it is enough space for us now (a couple and a toddler) but we would like to have 2 or 3 more kids. I think 1500-1800 square feet would be ideal even with a family of 5 or 6. The biggest down fall in our house is lack of closet space....there is very little. Apparently people in the 70's didn't need to hang clothing anywhere. A Return to Reason? | Apartment Therapy New York |
