Made this last night--YUMMMM!!! I would never thought to saute lemon slices (with rind), but man, they're fabulous mixed with the onion and chicken. I delighted in eating a soft, fragrant cooked lemon rind with a tender bite of chicken and savory onion. So quick and easy, too!

This one is hands-down my favorite, and similar to what I'm working on in my bedroom in terms of room size, furniture style, floor, colors, etc. The rug size looks perfect for the bed--can you tell me what size it is (assuming the bed is queen)?

Same situation here--kitchen re-do, cabinet had to go there. Another added bonus: A/C in the summer.....

I lived rurally as a child in New England, and then in the suburbs of DC as a teen. My mom was a city kid, and as we'd drive through Georgetown, I dreamed of being a city-dweller as an adult, and had no nostalgia for the earlier rural life. Did that a couple of years in my 20s, and then moved back to the suburbs for the schools when kids entered the picture. Now? I love the idea of artsy small towns in the midst of rural areas, but yet I don't think I'd like living more than an hour away from the conveniences of a major metro area.

Love Le Creuset, and this is my favorite of their colors, although I've never been able to afford them (have only borrowed). Matches my Fire King mixing bowls with the same color scheme!

This would be perfect. Just bought my house 6 months ago, and one of my 2 decent knives disappeared on Thanksgiving. Can't afford a whole set, so maybe Santa will bring...

(sigh)...it's not just you! I think it's a combination of all the reasons you mention. In addition, I have noticed that the same people who don't reply to my evites are often really bad about responding to email in general, to the point that I wonder if they only check it once every two weeks.

I'm in the process of removing hideous wallpaper in my bathroom, and have been using "DIF", as recommended by an architect friend. It's made removing the glue residue fairly easy, although I do wonder if it contains any particularly toxic chemicals. It doesn't have a strong smell, if that means anything.

What others said: Rug should be bigger and run at least partially under the furniture; paintings hung too high, needs personal items and accessories, which could also function to add some needed pops of color.

Lots of cleaning supplies and gardening tools.

Oh, and a hidden video camera in the attic trained on the driveway and neighbor's yard, with convenient power switch extension wired into the coat closet and connected via co-axial cable to the basement, where it presumably fed into the TV/VCR.

My electrician found it when he was doing some wiring for a vent hood.

What bothers me is that grocery stores in the same chain vary their prices on identical items based on the neighborhood in which the store is located.

Second grade, school cafeteria, institutional tapioca pudding. It was like liquid. Only time I have ever literally gagged while trying to eat something.

Yeah, I hated lima beans and liver, and my mom made me eat them, but they never actually made me gag.

I love how he found a place for the big, rusty chains inherited from his neighbor. When I first read that they were among the hand-me-downs, I'd assumed he didn't actually use them. Impressive.
