My third space is the Starbucks/Chapters. I love wondering through the books with a vanilla latte. I also agree with Duane Hill about parks being an excellent non-commercial space to enjoy. When I lived in Toronto, I used to walk up and down Yonge St as a way to relax between work and going home. It was a commercial area, but window shopping and being on the street with other people was a nice difference.

I love this DIY. I have been eyeing up that table from Restoration Hardware for a long time. Your table looks amazing :)

I absolutely love this - the pergola, fabric and lights. Maybe I can recreate this on my balcony...

I have been wanting to put a bench with my round table forever, just haven't found the right one. I agree with CBREYNOLDS, it can't be too long or the curve of the table will have your food too far away from the seat. Great casual dining look, love it.

I saw this in the Martha Stewart magazine and just started this project. I love the bright yellow with the grey. I picked out my own yarn as her suggestions would be too expensive and am making it a throw size instead of a full bed covering. It is perfect practice for getting back into knitting. Love it.

I am also a designer and design book hoarder. I have the Ikea Expedit series and they work excellent. Because the cubed areas, the shelves are not long enough to sag. The cubes are also useful for organizing your books into different categories.

As the for Kindle comment, it doesn't work well for design books because they are all full colour and ebooks are currently black and white. Plus, it's handy to have several books open at once as reference which is not possible on the ebook.

I have a large reference folder of Internet images also, but unless you have been collecting for a while, it is hard to have a lot of images right away like with a book. Plus, it's sometimes nice to have something to get you away from the computer for a while.

I have heard somewhere that it is better to remove the tape after you are done painting and before it dries. This is suppose to prevent the tape from removing some of the paint that has dried to it.

I would love it in an office, but would be too scared of the dust near my computer. I'm looking to use whiteboard paint instead. Looks a lot cleaner and not so dark with the black. ex. http://www.ideapaint.com/home/ideapaint

@engill That is disappointing to hear about the Ikea desk. I was playing on buying that desk when I redo my home office. I will have to check it out in store.

I have a red magnetic timer from Kitchen Stuff Plus and I love it. I use it all the time for baking, cooking and reminding myself when my laundry is done.

I love this. My book collection is not nearly as large, but I would love to have a library with the rolling ladder. I wish that they included more pictures in the article.

Instead of a microwave and toaster, I simply have a toaster oven. Use it to toast, cook and reheat.

I keep all my pots in the oven. I have a small toaster oven on my counter that I do most of my baking in as it fits a 9" x 9" pan perfectly for casseroles. I only use the oven to bake frozen pizza that doesn't fit in the toaster oven.
