"bigass" used to sell a "littleass" that was caged, but I think they don't sell it anymore. you should be able to find what you're looking for at grainger:

Wow! As a parent, I get so annoyed seeing rooms for children decorated in a way that they will surely outgrow in a short time. This is truly a well designed, beautiful room that will last an entire childhood! Kudos to you!

I second the leave it as is. This End Up makes rock solid furniture that will hold up to the wear and tear of kids. My son has bunk beds/dressers/and shelves by this company in his room. If you wanted to embellish it a bit and make it a bit more interesting, maybe just sand and apply a new coat of mat poly to freshen them up. I think part of the appeal is the reclaimed shipping crate look with these. Please don't paint it. I you don't like it, you can definitely get more than $20 if you market it as This End Up on Craigslist. I'd say at least $75.

I am really loving this idea...very "Alice through the looking glass." Anyone know of more affordable options??? -- other than taking a photo myself and blowing it up because that would be way too hard :)

We were recently in the market for "big boy furniture" that will last until age 18 as well. We settled on pieces by This End Up.

We actually found a bed and dresser by this company used on craigslist for a very reasonable price and then bought some additional matching shelves from the website. The wood is pine however, not oak.
