Thanks everyone for the cheers (and the jeers). We had some difficulty getting decent wide shots because of all the strange angles and corners in our apartment and we also have a cheap camera…but no excuses! We’ll do better next time.

The paint in the bedroom is Benjamin Moore and it’s either “pistachio” or “landscape”. The rug is from Urban Outfitters, the sofa is from Craigslist but it’s originally from Room and Board, and the bedframe is actually a futon frame and I don’t remember where it’s from. And yes, we are aware of what the poster in the kitchen says. Between the two of us we read Mandarin and Russian!

Avocado smoothies for my vegan girlfriend!

It was delicious but the sweet potatoes didn't cook all the way through. I had blanched them a little bit but they still turned out kind of hard (like carrots) and were a little dry. Next time I'm going to steam the whole sweet potato, slice them, then brush with olive oil.
