Thanks for all of the nice comments! It's quite gratifying knowing that fellow ATers approve. cojaclynsy - The bulk of the work was spread out over about a week. And it only took that long because I didn't want to tape over newly painted areas. The taping was time-consuming; but it made the actual painting a cinch. I've been looking for smaller hangers as well, so thank you for the links! I found some at my local Daiso (Japanese dollar store), but they don't consistently stock them. I also managed to buy some nice wooden ones from a children's/teen clothing store that was closing. kdkaboom - I think I know which flocked ones you're taking about, but I don't think they're only 14" wide? I created a PBN of my in-law's dog last year, using Photoshop and instructions found in Craft zine (I think it was the first issue). It was SUPER easy. I printed it out on really thick paper and mounted it on to cardboard before painting and framing it.
