Plywood is not so good for products and construction in the south where humidity is high. We have had problems with warping in the past and prefer to use particle board. Yeah that's a nice closet but I'm not a big fan of the thin particle board shelf systems. I ordered a closet from speedy closets because they use thick modern looking shelves and the cabinets come pre-assembled. It was about 1/3 the cost california closets quoted me and they delivered it about 4 days after I placed the order. Astech Closet Systems |

I'm not crazy about the wasted space either. I would try a modular closet system that has some flexibility. There is a site called speedy closets that offers pre-assembled systems they deliver to you. Good Questions: Open Closet Headboard? |

Wow! that is one ugly closet. The problem with utilizing the verticle space in this closet is the limited depth. I have a similar problem in my Miami loft. I found pre-assembled closet cabinets at a store called Speedy Closets and stacked them to use all my 12 ft. height. One of their designer helped me create a design where I use the top tier for less used items (since I need a step ladder to reach them). Messiest Closet 2006: L&J's Triceps Workout |

All the particle board furniture smells like chemicals when it comes out of the box. The company I work for Speedy Closets doesn't use particle board. These systems are made of MDF on a wood frame. Good Questions: Closits? |

I had to toss a beatiful old gas stove in mint condition a few years ago in a house I was restoring. My gas company would'nt connect just because they said it was a safety hazard. I, as always was willing to forego safety for the sake of form. Elmira Stove Works |

Wood on walls makes for nice photo but I wonder if the dark color makes a small space feel even smaller. I tried to avoid dark colors in my small Miami loft for that reason. April is the Smallest Croolest Month! |
