Reminds me so much of Hana, Maui. Honest, simple, happy and real.

I love glossy, staged shoots as much as anyone, but its great to see a home that is truly lived in.

Can I sleep over?!

:)

I just sent this to my acupuncturist!

I haven't enjoyed a post this much in a while. He is certainly a crafty fellow with an eye for detail (love the succulent in the hollowed out book). This one has been bookmarked for future inspiration.

I'm getting married in June so this is perfect timing. Neither of us like asking for things, but it was fun -though strange- to put together a registry (which, by most standards is still pretty lean). For those who know us well, we have a "registry" on Pinterest with random fun things from Etsy and around the internets. We also have asked for family heirlooms or second hand items as well.

For folks like my grandparents who are old fashioned and may not understand why I want a hideous taxidermy mouse cake-topper, we have more traditional things like towels, pots and pans, etc. A little something for everyone and their price points. Having people share this event with us is more than enough, so any gift large or small is a major blessing.

The home and the people who live there are very lovely, but for me the best part of the tour was the bunbuns. Love me some wabbits!

The kitchen is outstanding- it feels really warm and welcoming and like I would want to cook there. Although I'm sure by most American standards it would be considered "small", but it looks like it is really functional; I pulled all of the pictures for my kitchen reno inspiration folder.

Not everything was my style, but the feeling of the home was just that- homey. Not staged or pretentious.

Is the wallpaper ROMO?

...Great tour. Super inspiring space, I've actually added it to my Pintrest page because I'm in the process of buying a Spanish Revival bungalow and there are so many elements that I love in your home. Including your dog. Can I dogsit for you?!

I just wanted to say how jealous I am of your fabulous mantel. I looked at a rental several years ago that had one very similar, but it had hidden "stash" compartments all over it. So bleepin awesome.

Great space- the super airy, neutral wall color really makes all of your fantastic finds stand out. I love the painting in the kitchen, unexpected little twist.

Its so nice not to see Mid-C on a tour.

UGH...so true!

Being a designer with the ability to get pretty much whatever I want -and pay wholesale (!!)- is sometimes overwhelming.

I am in the process of buying a home -our first home- and we decided that we're not evening thinking about what we will do to the place until we close and its a done deal. Then, live in it for a while.

One of our favorite tricks we tell people is to rotate your stuff- put some of it away, bring it into another room... it makes you look at your space in a different way, and feels like you have something new.

snowpocalypse was utterly amazing. as much as i hate winter, i am almost hoping for another one; it made me feel like a kid.

if you have radiators and no humidifier, you can also put a pot or bowl of water on it, it will get hot enough to moisten up the place.

...moist is such an icky word.

Really gorgeous colors together, but I have to agree...not Halloweenie. The "traditional" color of Halloween- black and orange just symbolize the holiday so well for me. Black for the long dark, cool nights and orange, well, obviously for the changing leaves, pumpkins and that gorgeous moon rising at night.

Halloween is by far my favorite holiday.

What a stunning, cozy cabin on its own, but the story behind it makes it all the better. Seeing the limb with the swing brought a tear to my eye- what a lovely way to sit and remember your dad.

I collect BPAL perfumes. I never had a collection before that, but its slightly obsessive and consuming. And it feels good.

Our landlord originally said no pets, but our old down stairs neighbor introduced her adorable little fox hound-poodle to him and he agreed to allow the dog because he looked "like his cousin in Serbia. They have the same bushy eyebrows".

I love that story.
