are those vintage steel cabinets? PLEASE PLEASE find them a new home! I have steel cabinets (house built in 1941, kitchen added in 1950 or so). I love my cabinets.. I know they seem 'tenant grade', but too many have been thrown away, reuse is so much better. Maybe someone you know has a basement or garage that needs storage? or another unit owner who would add them to their kitchen rehab? criagslist? That integrated sink/counter is very nice: laundry room move?

BTW, I have seen my vintage cabinets used in MULTI-MILLION dollar lofts! I saw them in a modern decorator book.
Professionally applied auto paint could make a big inpact.

I do think you are on the right track removing that wall. not sure of the details to help you with this though...

I think my post got lost in the ether, so here it is again...

I have this lamp. I paid $20 at the thrift store. I rewired it, added a touch switch and sanded/painted it schoolbus yellow: $40 total!

These were made (in the 1940s I think) by Sperty (they still make tanning beds today... hhhmmmmm). These lamps were "irradiation/infrared" lamps, for a good healthy glow I guess.

$120 is good compared to Sonrisa:

$1350 (sold)...

wow, huh?

Hey I have this lamp! $20 at a thrift store. I rewired it, added a touch switch and sanded/painted it schoolbus yellow (just the gray painted parts): $40 total. I use it everyday as a reading lamp. BTW it goes 64inches high.

These were made by Sperty in the 1940s or so (Sperty STILL makes tanning beds, hhhmmm) as "irradiation/infrared" lamps. At the time people thought these were healthy...

Who could eat after using a knife like that?

Too funny: "Knife Porn" - elvedon

Also too funny: "That is a slutty knife, I can tell" - mangabanga

Do you all think, that after handling a knife like that, you could give it away?
