Hey Ammiyo - I just stayed with a friend and slept on the Ikea Friheten. He has a two inch foam mattress topper that he stores under the chaise, it made the bed quite comfortable.

A lot more firm that a regular mattress, but I couch-hop quite a bit and this was so nice that I'm thinking of getting one for our office to act as a 3rd bedroom for guests.

World Market has some nice, inexpensive leather chairs, and they go on sale every now and then. I'm talking $300-$500.

However, if you want something like that, a quality piece that will wear well, you don't want anything inexpensive. I've found you get what you pay for when it comes to leather.

Follow the above advice and keep an eye on craigslist and clearance if you can't afford too much.

The Ikea in Plano, TX does have the Airblade. The MK, I think.

Using it to dry my hands is typically the highlight of the trip. It's all downhill after that.

I buy my books from a local shop - I know the owner, he's there just about every day, and over time he's made wonderful suggestions on books I never would have thought to pick up. I could get my books for $3-5 cheaper from Amazon, but going in the shop and supporting his business is worth that extra cost, at least to me.

However, if the only shop I had available to me was Barnes & Noble, I'd have no problem just buying off of Amazon.

I have the Teno grey cover for the Kivik (loveseat + chaise), same as Popcorn above. We've had it for 2+ years now and it is still going strong. It isn't the softest or smoothest, but I haven't had any problems napping on it, and it has held up well to daily use as our only couch.

Like others above have said, you need pillows for the armrests if you want to lay down and you have to flip the cushions around pretty regularly. I think it's much more comfortable than the Karlstad, but I've only sat on that one in-store.

I used to have to turn the hot water almost all the way up, now I only go about halfway and it's still almost too hot, so I think their claim that it makes the water seem hotter works.

I also use the lower-flow and it's still very powerful. The higher flow setting almost stings.
