ChrisGal- lighten up, if this works for them then great! Everyone is different, has different needs ect. How are you so sure this will be the demise of ANYTHING? Do you really have to be reminded that not everyone shares your point of view? To say it should "never be done" is ridiculous and also pointless.

I recently upholstered a wingback chair. The fabric I chose had a large repeated pattern so I ended up using a little under 9 yrds.

I love that you framed your child's artwork! Where did you get the frames? The closest I've seen to them are those clip frames but yours are much classier.

The nonstop negative comments here about taxidermy have completely sealed it for me- I would never put my apartment on AT. This post has taken such a left turn that it's not even about the house tour anymore. It's reading more like an advertisement for PETA. As for Village's comment- clearly you're a caring individual but hand out leaflets if it's that important to you. This forum isn't the place for that.

Swoon! I would never have thought to put a chandelier outside! Great idea-thanks for the inspiration. On a different note- I know many people find taxidermy offensive but it's not all cruel and wasteful. I can't speak for everyone obviously but many people who hunt and have taxidermy use the WHOLE animal. My uncle is a hunter and he would never kill an animal JUST for a trophy head.

I can't imagine a sophisticated career woman calling this place home. It just comes off as cheap and tacky. To me it says dramatic college student who has an eye for decorating.
