My husband and I stayed in that exact room in the Hotel Fox in Copenhagen on our honeymoon. I love hotels that put thought into individual touches in their rooms. Around the World: Unusually Creative Hotels |

The Foundary recently had a sale of George Nelson clocks at pretty good prices. It's possible that they'd do another. Does anyone happen to know a decent place in Brooklyn or Manhattan to get one repaired? Mine isn't keeping proper time and I think the motor needs to be replaced. Then & Now: George Nelson Clocks |

I have the double version of the triple kitchen timer, and both sides of the timer have stopped working several times despite proper use (i.e. winding to 55 and turning back). They're pretty, but they aren't worth the money. 5 Timeless Kitchen Timers | Apartment Therapy The Kitchn |

I made a strawberry rhubarb pie yesterday that was so good I had to make another today. While hunting down more rhubarb at the farmers market, I found sour cherries, which have been cooked down into a compote. Who knows what I'll do with it all. What's Cooking This Weekend? My apartment has an open kitchen/dining room/living room -- the previous owners painted the kitchen/dining room area a very deep ivory and the living room a warm beige. I can't stand the beige and would love to replace it with a shade of grey without repainting the ivory as well. Can anyone recommend a shade that might work well without making the remaining walls look unappealingly yellow? The Best Grey Paint Colors | Apartment Therapy Los Angeles |

My husband and I have a lovely bay window in the front of our apartment, but we're on the ground floor and didn't really want all of Brooklyn looking into our apartment as they walked by. Like you, we wanted to save as much of the light as possible without sacrificing privacy, so we went with single cell translucent cellular blinds with the top-down bottom-up option. We still get a good amount of light through the shades though you cannot see through them at all. How to Hide an...Oil Refinery? Good Questions | Apartment Therapy San Francisco |

I think that I would have loved this tour -- unfortunately I had a hard time seeing any of the photos with the pop up ads blocking every picture if I lingered for more than half a second. We had a tiny cheap side table. It was painted a very chipped white and I gave my husband the choice of any color to repaint it. He came home with a bright turquoise high-gloss paint and it looks incredible. It's just the right amount of color for a corner. Apartment Therapy New York | Instant Cheer With a Coat of Paint |

My coffeemaker and grinder live on my counter. I use them every morning (and several times a day on the weekends if my husband gets his way) and can't imagine putting them away and pulling them out all the time. We did at least buy matching sleek stainless steel models, so while they add some clutter, they're visually appealing.
