Also, I was about to add--too hasty with the mouse, I suppose-- that orange has the same visual punch as red, without the possibility of seeming garish over time...

The toile window shade is lovely! Also, I think it prevents the bath from looking Hot Topic.

Pops of bright orange are such a nice change of pace from the usual red that I tend to use. Thanks for the great story! Now I have plenty of ideas to revamp my home.

I *do* enjoy colorful kitchens! I appreciate bright pops of color in a kitchen, particularly yellow and green. Blue is nice too. There was a story on Apartment Therapy recently about a green kitchen. That kitchen made me swoon!

What I like about Behr paint is that it is usually pretty readily available at your local hardware store, whether it be a local mom and pop or your mega-mart. And while I don't really care for its overall quality, the price and availability can't be beat!

This is such a fantastic, not to mention natural tip! I've a few chairs that need some cosmetic repair. It looks like I'll be making a trip to the grocery store today!

I really love Daiya vegan cheese. You can find it at your local Whole Foods market. Of all the vegan/veg cheese I've tried, Daiya is the best. It's very 'cheesy' tasting. Also, it melts really, really well. What I really love about Daiya is that it's completely vegan and is soy-free. Another good bet is almond cheese, though I do prefer the Daiya. These are good options for cheezy pizza, however, I actually prefer my pizza without cheese. Maybe with a nice layer of cheese-free pesto and some grilled veggies on top.

I'm really digging the scroll. In fact, I would love to have that hanging in my home. Oddly enough, I don't feel the same way about the pillow.

I used to LOVE splashing red accents in my home, but now I'm embracing orange. Orange seems just as attention-grabbing, without seeming TOO show-y.

I have to say I am really liking the bed with the red headboard. And I think the bed needs a touch more red. Instead of the dress, maybe a throw of some kind.

I am a big fan of planning my outfits in advance; it really does save me a tremendous amount of time in the mornings, and prevents me from indulging in my nasty habit of indecisiveness!

This trend reminds me of using typewriters as a decorative accessory. Books are meant to be read, written over, absorbed--not displayed in monochromatic covers, so that they don't disrupt the look of the room!
