We use ours to store board games and card games. We keep it in the family room and it doubles as our coffee table. It even works as a game table for ones that don't require a lot of room :) What Do You Keep In Your Trunk? | Apartment Therapy DC |

This is kind of an aside but if you use the Firefox browser, you can add on Greasemonkey and install a script that gives you photo previews on Craigslist. I love that I can browse the different ads with little photo buttons below - saves me a lot of time clicking and reading descriptions of things that turn out to be awful looking! We are living in a small apartment for the first time and were going to go with a small 2 ft tree on our coffee table rather than buy one with so little room. But when someone offered to give us a tree we ended up moving a whole bunch of stuff to make room during the holidays. Some stuff got stored behind our couch, an end table moved to our bedroom.
