I made this and was...underwhelmed. I wish it tasted more like smores. It SOUNDS amazing, but I think it's just a little bit too much. The individual flavors of the recipes are minimized and it just doesn't stand out the way I wanted it to. It's also a LOT of work, so I really wanted it to be amazing. Unfortunately it just didn't meet my expectations. Brownie, Cheesecake, Marshmallow and More: 7-Layer S'mores Cake |

I've definitely lost interest in cooking lately. We just had our first market of the spring this season and because of the colder temperatures in my area there wasn't a lot of selection. I'm in a bit of a rut with salads at the moment. New ingredients are definitely a good way for me to get out of a rut and I've been going to some themed pot luck events which get me looking for and trying out appropriate recipes. 30 minutes to 1 hour, sometimes more if I'm trying a new recipe. Some nights I anticipate that it will take less time, but unless I'm heating up leftovers or having a salad, it's usually in this time frame. I'm normally the one cooking and someone else takes over cleaning so I'm not including that in my time. How Long Does It Usually Take You To Make Dinner? Reader Discussion |

I love it...but I can't justify the price when I could just set my regular knife on the jar lid and not make a mess. It also looks like the base is a little rounded? @Nanster Eggs in the US and Europe (or at least the UK) are processed differently. I just found this out myself. I knew that Europeans are more likely to leave eggs out I wasn't sure what the difference was. For baking: I follow the rules. Not following baking recipes can yield unexpected and unpleasant results. For cooking? I use recipes more like a guideline. I substitue ingredients and sometimes even the method of cooking. I will usually make the recipe the "correct" way the first time before I go out on my own. Do You Follow the Rules When You Cook? |

Seltzer is the same as soda water, but it's not club soda or sparkling mineral water. Seltzer does not have the sodium salts that club soda does. You can drink it plain, it doesn't have much of a taste, or you can mix it. Cool Down! Watch this Stop Motion Egg Cream Video Right Now |

Eggs, honey, cheese, occasionally meats or a turkey pot pie, jam and soap (and shampoo bars) in addition to my fruits and veggies. I do almost all of my shopping at the farmer's market during the months where it's open every week. I could also buy tea and coffee beans, flowers, baked goods, wine, maple syrup, bread and granola, and salsa and chile sauces. We have a great variety. I just cleaned my makeup brushes this morning! Before work, even. It's that quick. Fan blades were done during my massive spring cleaning. We have cats and their hair gets absolutely everywhere, so the fan blades (among other things) need to be cleaned regularly, but maintaining it really does only take a minute. I have a knock off that I bought at the Christmas Tree shop. The downside is that the handles don't fold down like these bags, but considering that it was $6, I'll deal with it.
