Just bought 20 lbs of early girl tomatoes at the Farmer's Market. Currently 10 lbs are slow roasting in the oven for soup. I am also planning on a panzanella and lots of tomato sandwiches.

Oh, @KMK355 - Yes, I do have workable space under the racks when they are there. The racks have been a wonderful solution since I am not allowed to install a pot rack or any wall-mounted shelving.

The Pine Ridge is my favorite wine. So delicious!

I cook as an expression of love. There is something so elemental about feeding those you love. The care and time I put into creating nourishing and creative meals is directly proportionate to the strength of feeling I have for those who sit at my table.

Sharing a meal with those close to me, or opening my kitchen to a new friend, is always a joy.

Playing with shepherd's pie. I added lots of caramelized onion and sauteed mushrooms to the ground pork and beef. I also added pureed cauliflower and parmesan cheese to the potatoes. It smells really good.

I do love that shade of blue. I had a prom dress that color in '91. Perhaps it's time get it out of my parents attic and repurpose it as pillow covers.

We had the same problem and also went with a kitchen unit. Why is it so hard to find attractive and affordable storage?

I just found a great 12 pack at Homegoods that had the same terra cotta colored flecks in my granite counters, where we eat most of our meals. I use them with every meal and even pack one for lunch. Why are such simple things so comforting?
