My boss and I share a partner's desk at work...much rather share one with my husband at home. Actually, I think I'd just rather have my own quiet office or cubicle at work.

I wish my neighbors would keep their cats inside, because they freak my indoors-only cat out by showing up in our yard (i.e. her territory). I also have to cat-proof my garden boxes, which I'd have to do anyways because of the other assorted wildlife, but still, it's one more thing to deal with.

As a kid, the outdoor cats belonging to our neighbors is why my parents made sure our sandbox had a lid on it.

So yeah, your cat's territory outside may involve other people's property.

I've seen these colored cages and they're really overpriced. I just get the plain ones and spray paint them. I usually paint my tomato cages red, just for fun.

Personally, I'd find it more helpful if homes without white woodwork were featured.

My thinking is when I can afford to regularly serve expensive wine, then I'll buy the expensive wine glasses.

So is whore the new sexy? You can label me a prude but I'm tired of the sexualization of, well, everything.

These sorts of stories should be written by a local writer, otherwise they're pretty much always insulting and/or dull.

When I think of Philadelphia, I think of American history and...the theme song to the Fresh Prince of Bel Air.

I second SIU, I don't want my room to feel like a hotel. Even in the nicest hotels, I never feel "at home". Not a feeling I wish to have in my bedroom.

Really, how much fun does one need to infuse into their luggage? Beyond that, these are unattractive and just plain stupid.

If I only had this post in my hands last week when I was visiting there. Oh well, I'll just have to visit again!

I think this is a great rule! The one thing I wish certain visiting family members would understand is that I enjoy entertaining and I really do mean it when I say (over and over again) that I don't want them doing the dishes or cooking and cleaning. I wouldn't ask them to visit if I couldn't manage these things!

Anyone have a suggestion for cleaning the lid to remove the sauce stains/odors? I would think that otherwise, you'd end up with sauce flavored flour, sugar, etc. Or maybe not. I use glass jars like these for banking change and holding screws, nuts, bolts, etc.

Isn't there some kind of drain cleaner that uses air pressure to push out the clog? I think the guy who shouts about Oxyclean shills for this product as well.

Personally I like a combo of baking soda, vinegar, and hot water for most of my drain clogging problems which, come to think of it, rarely happen.

Honestly, IKEA grows less and less interesting to me. The furniture is so-so in quality for the price, plus my husband finds most of the furniture to be too tiny for his 6'1 frame. We had friends with a dining set from IKEA, and when he sat down his knees hit the underside of the table! It was funny to me, but he didn't think so.

Hey Memerryandpippin-it totally threw me to see your user name since I haven't seen you in, well a couple years. Good to know we read the same websites so whenever I do see you we'll have something to talk about. :)

Also, your hair never struck me as frizzy. I used the same trick with my hair and I end up with HUGE poofy, frizzy hair.

And to actually add something to this thread, I do the every other day shower thing unless I've been working out.

About the left hand comment....that's also why using the left hand to shake with has such a taboo in the those countries, something the southpaws in our country probably wouldn't be too fond of having here (rather, come back).

Toliet paper and disposable feminine products are the two things I'd rather not have to give up entirely. I do think they could be made more green though.
