Yeah, I really try to not be one of the people leaving snotty and negative comments on AT, but this looks absolutely ridiculous.

I'm really glad you love it, though!

I think it is, maggskh! So amazing.

Also, this apartment is so inviting! And such a welcome break from the mid-century modern parade. I would love to be invited here for dinner.

Top Chef editors are notorious for highly editing their film to alter perceptions, so I tried to give Marcel the benefit of the doubt.
But there are just SO many douche-bag moments to choose from! The man was infuriating, and I'm so glad he's gone.

Also, I'm so happy Blais is getting the respect he deserves! His food is amazing. Almost as good as Kevin Gillespie's. :)

Nashville Craigslist is the WORST. If I see one more "Abstract" painting featuring a wolf howling at the moon through the wispy hair of a Native American maiden, I will lose it.

Does anyone have any tips for finding quality goods? "Mid-Century Modern" gets me no results, and "Vintage" gets me Harley Davidson paraphernalia.

I like Unclutterer, but it's not just the readers who "take it as THE WORD". The authors talk about their lives being so balanced and peaceful, now that they have every minute, every calorie, every item of clothing, every purchase, every dollar, and every greenhouse gas emission counted, budgeted, labeled, and cleaned. I sometimes wonder where they find the time and energy to live so simply.

modestalmond, I'm using that system for everything in my house, especially toiletries and makeup supplies.

I take three boxes ("Donate", "Maybe", and "Trash") and sort through every drawer and shelf in the place. If anything (that isn't decidedly seasonal) is still in the Maybe box at the end of 3 months, it gets donated.

Though the "For Like Ever" poster is up there with "Keep Calm and Carry On" for me, I have to say, I like that office. The green and blue make it work.

I have a little home office in my apartment, but I can't seem to make myself use it! I'm a couch writer/worker/blogger/potato it seems. Maybe I should add that to my resolutions.

A McGriddle, lots of water, and a morning on the couch watching "Boondock Saints". It's the best hangover film.

My friends and I are doing an "orphan's Thanksgiving". None of us are too tied to the traditional foods, so instead we're planning a big mix of Chinese, Thai, Indian, and Mexican dishes, all vegetarian.

There will still be pumpkin pie, though. :)
