Costa Rica is very cultural and little by little it is getting involved in Design. I actually study interior design in Costa Rica. So much talent! Hopefully it will grow. And yed Festival Internacional de las Artes is spectacular. A Must see if you are near the valley.

i like purple , as a matter of fact just painted the media room all grey and one wall purple, more like lavender, added some black and white photos, and put yellow accents in the room. I think it looks great! But you guys are right only in the right amount.

I agree with bepsf, The Tile doesn't look that bad. But I do agree that wood floors look better. If you don't get permission, try to get things in the apartment that work with it. You can actually do great things that go with the tiles.

I love the Idea! Don't have a lot of space in my room and that looks like a great option... There are other things you can display that aren't books like hats, use it to store duvet covers, clothes, ofcourse you would have to be super organized... I live in central america and earthquake hazzards are not an option... but I think u can make this work.

I love theme parties! It would just be nice if they weren't extreme themes where u would have to put too much effort into it (thats what haloween is for) ,just because not everybody likes them... The Hawaiian theme is great just wear a summer dress and ur ready to go! If you're throwing the party and want to go overboard with decor go ahead... just keep it simple for you guests....
