Thanks for these tips, they were good. I found more detailed info over here that describes what Netflix says as of this month. I have stinky comcast too... I can't even get "My current data usage" feature of Comcast to work! But between thisnice apartmenttherapy post and the other one I linked to, I am able to accurately gauge my bandwidth usage. Thx!!

@sygyzy - Other way around. Pillsbury biscuits & the like are yeast biscuits that "rise" under the pressure of the tube, and expand when the tube is popped open, while homemade biscuits use chemical leavening.

I was a big Mozy fan, until their recent price increases. I have over 100GB to backup to the cloud, so I went with CrashPlan (10% off CrashPlan coupon here).

@Jwink3101 - CrashPlan, Mozy, and Carbonite all have iOS and Android apps that allow you to access your data remotely. Backblaze can't be far behind...

Apple obsessions aside, you shouldn't be cleaning any LCD with anything other than water.

Also, the minerals in tap water do not scratch screens (hint: they're soluble). If you're getting scratches with water it's from whatever rag you're using to clean it.

Kerosene lamps can contribute significantly to indoor pollution. Consider that before using one on any regular basis. http://illuminationhq.com/news/adverse-effects-of-kerosene/

this seriously looks like garbage. You spent "a day" labor (say, a $10/hr bill rate, very low) and $10 on materials, including "scrap paper" (which should never be an ingredient in a chair)...

So $90.00 for a thing you will throw in the garbage soon.

throw it out. and don't do it again. please.

This can also be a dynamic range problem. becuase BD and DVD support a much wider dynamic range than most analog sources, the average level seems lower. If your player and/or receiver supports it, you can compress the dynamic range so all the sounds are closer in level. Of course, you're going to muddy up the sound, but it will accomplish what you want.

So you're against disposable diapers, but also agree that your friend is too busy to use any sort of diapering system. What exactly do you want busy people to do then? Not have children? Let their children just do their business on the floor? I hope the person that invited you sees this an uninvites you.

I ordered my wakemate over a year ago and it has yet to arrive. They're a bunch of rip-off merchants. See http://techcrunch.com/2010/01/23/wakemate-delay/

At least paypal made them refund all the orders eventually, forcing them to switch to google checkout

AusIceCream,
You may be right about bananas compared to other fruit. However, you elide over the fact that, while bananas appear to have about 1 calorie per gram, regular vanilla ice cream has about 2 calories per gram. Half of those ice cream calories come from fat.
You also get a decent doses of vitamins B6 and C, potassium and dietary fiber with the banana.

Do your homework before saying half truths and going on your soapbox!!

Unit baths with the toilet inside are usually limited to hotels and cheap apartments!

Most people who have unit baths have unit baths without toilets in them!

TO the japanese a bath = place where you wash yourself!

And Japanese tend to avoid renting apartments with toilets and bath in the same room, unless they really have to, because it is considered to be nasty, but beacause of space constraint it's used in small and cheap apartments and hotels.

Bought a place with a gravel side and driveway. Horrible stuff that only looks good when it's freshly laid. Feels uncomfortable to walk on. Got stuck in tyre treads, shoes, and my dog's paws. Got tracked inside and scratched the floors.

Something people don't think about is how noisy it is crunch crunch crunch. With separate work hours we were constantly waking each other up. And we were still advised to water it every week in summer because the house started to crack on that side.

Now we have a cottage-style water wise garden filled with native plants with a paved section of path and a little bird bath. It was a lot of work to reclaim the yard because over the years the gravel had gotten impacted quite deep, but it was worth it. We mulch and never do any mowing and the birds love it!

Leave the flowers to the birds and bees to enjoy and instead perk yourself up by making a charitable donation. The thought that you have put that money to good use rather than just leaving it to wilt on a table will make you put the stress of moving into perspective when you consider the lot of others.

I never notice cut flowers until they start smelling like swamp so this would be a complete waste of money and time.
