Of course it's stupid to buy more and more and more, but this website need to post some sponsored links everywhere they can...you buy they win. Isn't apartment therapy giving advice about how to be green all the time ? Irony...

As a book lover and archivist, I would feel like a vegetarian served ikizukuri if someone "gifted" my family with one of those items. (And yes, I checked and all of those books appear to have been in good to reasonable shape.)

One of my peeves is when people argue to not worry because the ToS parts won't be enforced ... because they can and often do (AT&T bandwidth issues for example).

While the inside's contemporary work shows lots of effort and care, I don't see a lot of the original Craftsman left, except in the bedroom picture. I am curious what the outside and before looked like for comparison.

I hope these are better than the aerators that are normally supplied. Those things waste more water by splashing it everywhere instead of giving me the quantity of water need to rinse the soap off. (Using a sponge or brush instead of sprayer seems like a better water-saving method anyway.)

Not all bacteria are bad for us.
Not everything will be a breeding site for bad bacteria.
Food sickness sucks.
It is easy to be risk-adverse and over-generalise (overcook everything then refrigerate it immediately).

My biggest area of concern is the stuff we can't control directly:

Please look at the road instead of playing farmville, watching videos, tweeting, google searching... really.

Additionally, I find it disturbing there was no mention about privacy, data-sharing, security, or any of the other technology concerns with this tech review. Tech can be wonderful but like all tools, be wise.

Think I am being paranoid? Here is a tip of the iceberg:

I also really do not like the autostart of that video. It is very disruptive to have audio and video start without warning.

This advertisement does not impress.
Only 5 year battery
For INDOOR USE only. Do not allow lock to get wet

And the big problem:
Don't use it for anything important. The permanent Backup Master Code at masterlockvault.com can never be changed means you have to set up the account before someone does and gets the combination. (This security exploit has been used before: online and voice banking are two examples where criminals setup a victims "online account" because it only requires little knowledge about the victim then robbed the account.)

Shame because I otherwise really like Master Lock products.

The stark ruby red wall of Demi's bedroom with the sheer curtain fluttering in the wind really stuck in my head. Amazing set design.
"Less Than Zero" had some crazy cool MTV Miami Vice 80s style as well. Remember the wall of TVs, the poolside scenes, the Winter Wonderland party...

For poison ivy, borrow a goat... seriously. Otherwise you will need to dig it all out. Be careful because the "poison" is found on all parts of the plant including roots.

I agree with everyone else above that the mulch will not cause the soil to heat up and kill the weed seeds. It smothers seeds trying to sprout and prevents sunlight from triggering them to sprout. However, that technique can sometimes prevent moisture from getting to the soil and doesn't stop evil bermuda grass from trying to eat your petunias.
