Kayon, just one tip: if you run your dishwasher every once in a while (maybe once every four to six months?) you will keep the gaskets supple and keep all the moving parts working. If you fail to run a dishwasher for too long, you may find yourself needing to repair or replace it, and that could be a problem if you ever decide to resell your apartment. My sister learned this the hard way when she renovated her house and tried to put the same dishwasher back into her kitchen after a two year absence.

Wow. I'm becoming increasingly annoyed by the comments on AT. Perhaps it is time to add a thumbs up/thumbs down option so that people can voice their approval or dissent with individual comments. If people realize how unpopular their negativity is, perhaps they will reign it in a bit more before sharing...

Started with a simple list, but since I'm enjoying a couple of days off this week, it quickly commenced to "I'll just move this over here" and after an afternoon of that I ended up with a completely revamped kitchen and a complete lack of "before" pictures. What I do have, now is a more functional flow, and the table that was my desk (really a resting place for piles of papers, etc.) is now gone and replaced with two comfy chairs that will be a nice place for folks to hang out while I cook. Since I moved just about everything, I also cleaned everything. In one happy accident, I managed to switch the direction the table/island faces and now I have a place to set down groceries and not have to move them again to put them into the fridge! I still had time to clean out the hall closet, too! Staycations rule!

Lovely look and very organized. For those concerned that it is not enough space, the best way to lay out a closet redo is to measure your items, then carefully plan out your shelves based on the height of the objects you plan to store there. You can also install track shelf holders that give you the flexibility to raise or lower shelves as your needs change. A third option would be to put the shelf supports on the side walls instead of the back walls: this would make them less obvious (and let that blue color shine through) and would allow support for a deeper shelf that will hold even more! Lots of options!
