Sorry - also use a refinishing company that offers "dustless sanding". No one can refinish without some dust, but these machines come equipped with a high-powered vac that drastically reduces the amount of debris leftover. How To Refinish Wood Floors |

I work for a flooring warehouse, distribution & installation company and I can tell you that it's not worth it to install these tiles! Everyone is so afraid of asbestos that it's simply not worth it. If you're dedicated to putting them somewhere, why not make a "rug" of them? Simply adhere to thin luan and pit where you like without installing permanently.

Nope, if I don't recognize you through the peep-hole, I'm not answering the door. Funny how some are quick to say "That's just so sad" when people make the decision to not open their door - why should I open the door whenever anyone knocks? It's my home, my time, my space; unless I invite you in, you shouldn't expect permission to invade it. That said, I did make an concerted effort to meet my neighbors when we moved into our neighborhood about 10 years ago, just walking around the area on a Saturday when most folks were working in their yards and introducing myself and my husband. Worked like a charm. When Do You Open Your Front Door? |

Call around and find a flooring company that specializes in refurbishing older buildings. You might need to really search, but when you find this company, they'll be able to either repair/replace with similar flooring from another building or suggest a few different ideas. Good luck! I don't see why not - unless it happened within the past five years, then forget it (only because of the publicity). But folks tend to forget...most people actually die/pass away/move on/whatever word you use for dying AT HOME. I live in a 70 year old home and would be willing to bet at least five people have died there. Does it bother me? No. Do I have blood dripping from the walls? No. Should it matter? Not to me, but obviously I can't speak for everyone. Real Estate where Really Awful Things Happened | Apartment Therapy Boston |

I second the advice of blackberrysquirrel regarding remnants -I work for a flooring company and I cannot stress what a great resource local carpet and hardwood companies/stores are for someone looking for great quality at a low price.
