Our little guy falls out of low profile beds on vacations, I can't imagine how many times he'd fall out of this one. It seems too high for us, and no bed rails. :( Creating A Big Boy's Room That Will Endure |

Love fresh squeezed juice! Since our home in located in an old citrus grove, we have lemon, orange and grapefruit trees in our backyard. My son and I bring in a basket full of citrus, and I juice it for breakfast. I put the remaining juice in a glass jar for later in the week. I put little ziplocs in the freezer full of lemon juice to use throughout the year. We have plenty of citrus to go around, and give a good portion to friends and family. My little boy is 9 and for his birthday every year, I take a photo of him wearing a dress shirt that belonged to my husband, it's been fun watching how the shirt is no longer touching the floor (he's geting tall). And I can do this in any house we live in, we've moved once already. Birthday Ritual Mom Filter |

I agree with nellymom, just be firm, because this could be the first of many "pieces of advise" to come. Even strangers offer advise when it comes to new babies. Regarding the dishwasher, both my husband and I grew up without them, so we never use ours, we'd rather do dishes by hand, and we both contribute. I think my son was 5 when he finally realized we had a dishwasher, and he asked "what in the world is this thing"? It's just quicker for us since we have a small family. Maybe your mother will wait until the baby comes, to help with something else you'd rather have, that you didn't think of prior to the baby's delivery. We'll all keep our fingers crossed for you!! My husband and I did what we felt worked best for our family and it turned out to be co-sleeping. We have only one child who is now 9, and he still loves to be cuddled during movies, reading books, or sitting close when we are out to dinner. We are a very close family and I think it all started with co-sleeping. He's doesn't use a night light, and he still likes to come and snuggle in bed with us first thing in the morning before heading off to the play room! Enjoy all of the cuddling you can (as long as you all get sleep), it flies by too quickly! Blogging Slate: Go Ahead -- Sleep with Your Kids |

We have a laundry room door that is painted with chalk and we've used the "Paint chalk", but it is REALLY tough to erase. I still have spots that haven't completely come clean. We now just use good old fashioned chalk and I wipe the floor with a wet cloth to pick up the chalk dust. :) Chalkboards in the Kitchen |

We just purchased a Heavenly bed, after sleeping @ a Seattle Westin. We've only had it about 3 weeks, and at first, it felt too firm for me, but my husband LOVED it. The Manager at Nordstrom's told me to walk on the bed for 30 minutes since it's new and tight. I have to say, that the bed has gotten more comfortable and I am happy with our purchase. I don't roll into my husband in this bed and that was an issue with our old mattress, and we can cuddle in it comfortably! We are very happy with it. We've tried the sleep number beds in hotels and they just don't work for "cuddling" couples as there is a hard center dividing the two air mattresses. And anytime he moved, I moved due to size difference. Good luck and I'm looking forward to your findings!! A Year in Bed: A Modest Proposal |
