I found almost the same trunk from a different seller for under $300--it is a couple inches smaller.

Hey! Just wanted to say that moviehippo is my husbands flickr name and I go by Mrs_W on AT. He will be helping with the cure.

I got the sofa for FREE on craigslist!! I did have to rent a uhaul to pick it up and it wouldn't fit in the elevator so we had to carry it up 5 flights of stairs, but so worth it!

I have also been thinking mirrored table or x benches. Any suggestions on inexpenive ones? I might even do a mirrored table in the middle and an x bench on either side--then you can put your feet up and still have a place for remotes etc.

I need to take more pics and do the worksheets. I think I'll post more once I've done that.

Hi! I just thought I would mention that you can now get a thing called a recircuating vent (usully in combination with a microwave). This is a great alternative to a full on hood if you don't have the option (or can't afford) to run ventilation to the outside for a the full deal. The recirculating microwave combos can range from $150-$250 for models like Sharp or LG and $300 to $500 for models like GE and Frigidaire. There are also higher end brands like Meile or Gagggenau that cost even more depending what kind of budget you are working with. Shop around some local appliance stores and check the internet for a good deal!

I think, as many before me have stated, that roman shades are the way to go. I would also add a curtain on the flat portion of the wall where is meets the bay window. As seen in this picture (not my picture, just one I found on google that was a good example). The bench in the picture is a nice touch but you could easily replace it with your own piece, like a table if this is in the dining room. Hope that helps.
