Made a few Smitten Kitchen recipes to eat for lunch this week: silky cauliflower soup, homemade caesar dressing and marinated eggplant with mint and capers.

I agree that shapes without small holes make much tastier mac and cheese. I like the mooses from IKEA.

If I buy Kraft, it's always Spiderman.

A friend makes loquat-seed infused vodka. It's delicious. She does it twice per batch of seeds. The first batch tastes like amaretto, and then the second batch tastes like loquat.

I'm not sure how long you have to let it sit, but I'm sure Google knows. :)

I have some gorgeous prints and vintage posters that are just waiting to be framed. Custom framing for large pieces is so expensive that I haven't sprung for it yet.

I'm also eyeing a new rug.

My mom made this all the time when I was growing up (we were vegetarian). I'm no longer vegetarian, but I still prefer it to tuna salad! I just make it the same way I would tuna salad: smash the chick peas a little with a fork and stir in mayo, celery, onion, relish, and s&p. It's very good on toasted bread with lettuce and some sriracha.

I agree! I use dark brewed coffee instead of water when I make boxed brownies. You can't taste the coffee flavor, but it does intensify the chocolate.
