~ bepsf, I used to notice the "&mdash" all the time too and it drove me crazy. I recently started using Chrome and it actually shows up as a real dash. But "&mdash" shows up in both IE6 and IE7. I can't remember how it looks in Firefox and I'm not sure what browser you are using.
Unfortunately I don't know enough to blame Microsoft or bad code. ;)

I am a normal person and I can look at my normal kitchen any darn day of the week. I enjoy seeing all ranges of design and I want to see what exists outside my small circle, fancy or unfancy it is all inspiring!

And this kitchen is utterly fabulous!! I love that tile so much I want to marry it.

i think it looks great! i really like how the wood addition makes it look warm yet still modern.

i think it would be fun to do an all star challenge - take the winners from all the previous years and pit them against each other. of course they might not all still be in "small" spaces so maybe it wouldn't work...

and i'm with the posters who like this contest for seeing into real people's spaces - we no longer have cable and this replaces my guilty hgtv pleasure.

I would assume people who owned the object in question would speak up and say when and where they got said object - how else would we determine if it was a "blockbuster trend" vs a coincidence? If all the responders said they got their transit poster last month then it looks like a trend....

if you have art that can be framed try using UV Glass - you can't tell the difference between the UV and regular glass at all and it protects from fading. We have used it on pieces that receive direct sunlight without anything fading - I really recommend it! of course that doesn't help your furniture or non-framable art... :)

we had the same problem plus peeling paint. my landlord came in and scraped the bathroom down and cleaned it with Simple Green D Pro 3 (by our request - the bleach was terrible on my husband's lungs and didn't work that well)http://www.simplegreen.com/products_pro_3.php

then he repainted with Behr Low VOC antimicrobial.

the paint was amazing - a day later we couldn't even tell he painted there was so little smell.

he also cleaned the fan out.

we have not had any mold problems since! and we sometimes take 2 showers a day.
i really recommend the paint - ask at your paint store or section for something for bathrooms and it will say antifungal/mold on it.

marimekko cloth - sold by the yard. we stapled ours up - movable, washable etc...
