I'm curious about door-less closets like some of the ones illustrated above. Don't they get filled with dust? I'm thinking of yanking the doors off mine (the space needed to open the door is about double the depth of the closet itself and I don't have much space) but am wondering about damage by dust, light and - with spring/summer - moths! Anyone have any ideas on this? Beautifully Organized: Clothes Closets |

i have a similar one and used the drawer side for clothes and the hanger side for hanging necklaces. i love it, but agree that it's not the most practical thing as the trunk is so big. right now i have it closed, on its side, and use it for seating... we had roughly the same dilemma and this is what we did: removed most of the cabinet doors, removed cabinet shelves, and covered the insides of the cabinets with large sheets of black paper (you could just as well use contact paper - but we're cheap and had this around..). our cabinets seem a tone brighter than yours, so the black sheets of paper in the cabinets made a great impact. In Lagos, Portugal - try CasaTrigoso. It's more of a B&B sans the breakfast, but it's directly in front of the beach, super cosy and homey - and the views are phenomenal!! They owners were usually around and helpful in recommending local haunts. - http://www.casatrigoso.com Best Home Away from Home Hotels Apartment Therapy's Annual Guide |

this is where marmelade comes from! historically, marmelade was made from quince or 'marmelo' in Portuguese. whereas these days marmelade can mean many things in English and other languages, marmelada in Portuguese is still used only for quince jam - well, it's also ye olde time slang term for 'making out'! We've been hosting and traveling on Airbnb for the past two years. In over 40+ guests, perhaps one or two were less than ideal, but mostly we've met very interesting people who take great care of the space and enjoy sitting down for a good chat.
