What about a trifle with angle food cake, whipped cream, vanilla pudding and berries. I've done one with chocolate cake soaked in kalua, choclate pudding, whipped cream and strawberries for many BBQs, its always a big hit. Help Me Find a Cool and Summery Dessert for a Party! Two years ago when I had my first Christmas tree in my own apartment I made gingerbread ornaments. They are still holding up wonderfully. I made all the ornaments on the tree. I wrapped little Styrofoam boxes in marbled maroon, marbled, navy blue, and marbled forest green fabric and tied jute around them for ribbon. I tied little bundles of jungle bells with cream and maroon ribbon hangers. There are mini wreaths that I decorated with Spanish moss and teeny tiny cranberries, pinecones with cream and maroon ribbon hangers, and cinnamon stick bundles wrapped in jute and decorated with Spanish moss and mini pinecones. I love my ornaments, there beautiful on the tree, very rustic and homey.
