This is all new to me (I do not own raw denim), but I bought some organic cotton jeans, and the instructions say to wash them by wearing them in the shower. That is way too fussy for me, so I've just been machine-washing them--but maybe shower-washing is a slightly gentler alternative to machine-washing. My living room (w/dark red and dark gray furniture/accents) is painted lavender.
