Love all of these. I'm especially obsessed with Orlando's creations. He made a bearskin rug! http://hommemaker.com/2011/10/25/im-a-giant-update-2/

Gorgeous! I love what you did with the bookcase. Is that the Pebble Rug from West Elm? It looks fantastic!

Looks like a lot of plastic going to waste. I hope that by the time my son is snacking, he'll be able to pull a carrot stick out of the fridge on his own.

Love this knife. My personal go-to is the 5", but for the quality of my knife skills (poor) I think it's best to keep me using a shorter blade. :)

I think they're the same silver legs polished up and reflecting the hardwood floor. This is great!!

Another vote for the Ergo with infant insert. It is well padded and quite warm - but baby is still right against you.

Human feces belongs in the toilet, not in the waste bin. If you switch to cloth diapering, you'll be doing that anyway. If you do the right thing even as a disposable-diaperer, the poop goes in the potty and whatever can you deposit the dirties in will smell WAY less.

I have the Gio glasses in the large size, pictured above, which I got at Lekker Home. I also have the CB2 Marta glasses in both the short and skinny sizes. They are essentially the same glass, though 4 of our Gios have broken and only one of the Martas has! I'll be replacing the Gios with Martas going forward (for a fraction of the price).

Lani - the Argington bassinet looks really cute, but if you're looking to co-sleep I'd recommend the Arm's Reach (though not as aesthetically appealing) for a few reasons:
1 - it attaches to the side of the bed and acts as a "sidecar" to your mattress. So for middle-of-the-night feedings you can scoop baby onto you and deposit him/her back into the co-sleeper with one arm (which is especially great if you've had a c-section)
2 - the fourth side can be pulled up and it turns into a stand-alone crib which is good for travel
3 - if you get the "convertible" model you can also use it as a playard even when baby is no longer using it for sleeping
4 - you can purchase the organic mattress for the Arm's Reach (plusher than the standard mattress it comes with) and still come out ahead of the Bam pricewise

You could elevate the crib when the baby is an infant, the same way lots of folks on AT lift their beds to create extra storage underneath. I'd agree with the others here that once the baby is able to stand (and hoist), the bed is best left lower to the ground.

Breakfast always used to get cut from my morning routine, in favor of getting 10 more minutes of sleep. However, now that I've discovered Dorset cereal all that has changed! This is the yummiest breakfast food I've ever met, and a small bowl in the morning keeps me energized into the early afternoon. Making me hungry now...

Love this. For our holiday cards this year, we're doing simple letterpressed brown paper postcards with baker's twine wrapped around them like a present, then sending off to post in white vellum envelopes.
