As an architecture student, I always appreciated the flexibility of a drafting table, condusive to both sitting and standing. I guess this is just a more extreme, DIY version of that.

I'll speak up for them. I moved in to my 1925 bungalow 2 yrs ago and have since purchased their Shutter bed (solid oak, with louvers notched in place), Hotel curtain rods, an outdoor side table (used in living room), and Duomo lantern (which I converted into a very affordable lamp).

All of the pieces were/are solidly made, understated, appropriately scaled (with 1250sf, they'd have to be), and were bought on sale.

Some of the web only items can be found in the store, as I found with the duomo lanterns - the staff were more than willing to offer up a floor model. As for the price points, I find them pretty competitive for the quality (much cheaper than boutique stores); we'd all like to luck out at estate sales & thrift stores more often...

That said, they need to get over themselves in a big way. But, how can you not have a soft spot for the J. Peterman of home furnishings??

Love this! My family is from this part of WI. Make sure to watch the weimaraner around those grape vines, especially if he/she is a grazer or has a sweet tooth (they're toxic).

yeah, I believe we hit 90 today in Houston, so... With half the country under a blanket of snow and half headed full speed into summer, I reflect fondly on my not-so-distant memories of spring and fall, which used to constitute actual seasons.
