I really love all the colors and patterns, but I am currently engaged in the hellish project of removing wallpaper from our dining room. So a part of me looks at these pictures and *shudders*

I love Airstreams. My family had several over the years, old ones from the 60's and 70's. They are incredibly well designed, and they seem much larger inside than they look from the outside. We had one, where the entire little bathroom converted into a shower!

That's a poster featuring otitis media, or fluid in the middle ear. As far as medical posters go, it's very informative :)

A solid chestnut, perfect size little mid-century writing desk for $4.00 at a garage sale. It took about an hour to strip it, and rub it down with some Danish oil, and it's the absolute perfect thing that I wanted. It was a deal so good, I almost felt guilty!

While I've never had this problem with sheets,
I have the most awesome way to get pilling off of sweaters and other things---the cat's flea comb. It takes those pills off really quickly and easily. I can de-pill (is that a word?) a sweater in a few minutes. I hate those shavers they never seemed to work very well.

I actually like seventh generation toilet paper. I don't like the fluffy, linty stuff. Maybe that makes me a hard ass ;).

Those zip mesh bags that are made for washing sweaters, and pantyhose would work really well, I think.

I always put mine back in the trunk after I unpack groceries, but since I shop at Wegmans, if I did forget them, I could buy some new ones at the register. Wegmans reusable shopping bags are only .99!

Growing up, we always had a separate deep freezer in the basement. Every year, my mom froze seasonal vegetables and fruit for the winter (fresh tasting corn in the winter is wonderful, by the way!) Buying for the week, cooking large amounts, and then freezing food has significantly brought our food bill down, and I don't waste the extra gas with more trips to the store. Depending on the circumstances, an extra freezer or fridge could possibly be better for the environment, if it means less driving and eating more local, seasonal produce... and better eating habits!

There is just the two of us, and we just have one glass a night with dinner. We've had one of these for a while and we love it. We usually finish the bottle within two days or so, and it seems to work really well. We love it.

I repeatedly caught the same mouse over and over in an old apartment. I put my plastic, kitchen garbage can next to the refrigerator without a bag in it. The mouse would climb the back of the refrigerator to get into the garbage can, but couldn't get back out. I would let it go outside, and watch it promptly bound right back to the house, where I would catch it again the next day. Stupid me. Stupid mouse. Happy Hunting.

For those of you that have access to Wegmans. They have reusable, durable bags that look very similar for .99 each. They hold about 25 pounds and are structured enough to stand up on their own, which makes then easy to unload. They are black with a white Wegmans logo. I have 5 of them, and that is usually perfect for a weeks worth of groceries for 2 people.
Viva La Wegmans!

I bought one of these a few years back thinking it was like a dawn simulator. Instead, it flashes a light on and off to wake you up. It does wake you up. My husband nicknamed it "the headache machine." The alarm bell is also jarring. I would get up just to avoid the sound of that bell. It does look nice, though.
