After tons of research (including reading Maxwell's posts like a million times) my husband and I went with a Saatva luxury firm. It was around $1200 for a queen including the box spring and delivery. It is really scary to buy something so expensive without trying it, but I realized that when I went in to "try" mattresses at stores, I wasn't really forming a useful opinion, I was just laying there. Saatva also has a good return policy (I think it's money back within 30 days) so we felt ok taking the plunge. We are really really happy with it. It's like sleeping in a fancy hotel every night.

I was interested in purchasing/trying the Danny Seo Simmons that Maxwell rated #1, but I couldn't find it anywhere.

Another TJ's fan here, but I shop there exclusively for indulgences and get real groceries elsewhere! Frozen veg potstickers are the best. Cherry chocolate chunk soy ice cream (conveniently sold in a large tub for maximum indulging), also veggie corn dogs.

I second the very first post about Turkish cuisine! Turkish people serve yogurt on everything from stewed vegetables to pasta to some meat dishes. It's also delicious if you stir in some crushed garlic to make garlic yogurt.

There is a delicious Turkish soup called cacik, it is chopped up cucumbers, yogurt, garlic, salt and enough water to make a soupy consistency, but that is more appropriate for summer.

I'm not sure if turbinado sugar does indeed contain molasses, but if it does, it would mean that it is healthier than white sugar. Molasses contains lots of minerals (copper, iron, selenium) and also a decent amount of B6.

It is also safe to say that the further an ingredient is processed (especially industrially processed) the less healthy it is, because those minerals and vitamins tend to be lost, or at least decreased. That's why many health-oriented people choose to eat whole foods.

In regards to using coconut milk as a healthier alternative to traditional whipped cream made from heavy cream: there is research that says that coconut milk raises your HDL cholesterol (good) while cow's milk raises your LDL (bad), so substituting heavy cream with coconut milk seems to make sense.

But that's just my layperson's understanding of things!

Her tutorial of seasoning looks great, but it starts with a pan that you've cleaned using oven cleaner (toxic?) or hooking up a car battery to it. Both seem excessive!

Yes, I believe the packaging even says not to use soap. So what's the deal? Do you really not use soap when washing dishes?

I'd love to hear!

It looks like the links to their website now takes you to a site which only sells made-to-order pillows. Bummer, I was looking forward to some shopping. Does anyone have updated info for them?

Hot chocolate always gives me a stomach ache, but I love hot alcoholic drinks in the fall and winter! My favorite is hot apple cider and whiskey.

This is great, the article, plus all these comments! (A side note: these may be the most well-meaning and positive comments I've seen on AT. Maybe because the subject strikes a chord in so many readers, and brings out the empathy?)

All the choices, that's what I struggle with too. I know what I like - I'm not going back and forth trying to find a style - but it's hard to *pick one*, like so many others here have said.

Sartre talked about "the vertigo of possibility", so it's not just a design thing!

I really liked Brenna's responses to the AT questions! So forthcoming and personal! I liked the house tour less than the interview though. Like so many others have said: too many vignettes! I could not get a sense of the layout of the space at all. I was able to appreciate her style, but I enjoy the feeling of walking through the house, like a house tour should be!

My favorite house tours are photographed this way - starting with the outside (if appropriate), then the entry, then taking you through each room, with a vignette or two interspersed. Use vignettes with restraint, and remember that it's a tour!

The most beautiful apartment of my life was in Chelsea, across the river from Boston in a brick prewar well-maintained building. Extra-tall ceilings, extra-tall windows, generous rooms, and the best view ever: Boston's skyline! Pros: sweet apartment, dirt cheap rent ($600 for a 2 bedroom), easy commute (15 min bus ride to Haymarket) Cons: not much going in the neighborhood (at the time), neighborhood somewhat sketchy, late nights in Boston or Cambridge always entailed a really expensive cab ride home since the T and bus don't run very late.

Me too, I've been doing this since I was a little girl. But with way fewer steps -- just put the tortilla on the burner, flip it over a few seconds later.

One of my favorite snacks: warm tortilla with peanut butter. Or salsa, or avocado, or a little olive oil.

@Kit_Kat and @AWilliams, I'm pretty sure if you work at Anthro you don't get a discount on home stuff, just the clothes.

Anyway in the tiny space allotted for an introduction, the author mentions fixing up the space on the cheap not once but twice -- really makes a point of it. So of course people will state the obvious: that Anthropologie's prices are hardly budget-friendly.
