I know this task is over, but I wanted to post this cool tip for cleaning grout. Haven't tried it yet, because I didn't have any lemons, but I'm excited to see if it works! Day 3: Weekend Chores - Flowers, Floors, Green Cleaners & Outbox Apartment Therapy January Cure |

What is a good alternate task if you don't need to clean the floors? I have a house cleaner who comes 2xs a month and she's coming on Monday, so it seems a bit silly to do the floors right before she comes? A landscape gardener recommended to my sister, who has a herculean task ahead of her to get her ground ready for planting that she should lay down about 6 layers of cardboard, and then weigh that down with rocks or something. The cardboard will block the light, like the plastic does, but it'll also break down into the soil, instead of just lying on top like plastic so it's a more green alternative. I'm very excited about the tote bags, but I've been pretty unhappy with fresh direct lately, because their local and organic section seems smaller every week. They don't provide any information about where things come from (except in their ever shrinking local section), so when I do order organic, it all seems to come from California or South America. What about cleaning painted wood floors? I am never happy with how my floors look after mopping, I've tried everything, but they always look like there's a gray film on them when I'm done. Apartment Therapy Los Angeles | Tips for Cleaning Hardwood Floors |

Sweet! I live on S. 2nd, so barely get up above N. 8th, so I had no idea this was there. I hate Tops, so I can't wait to check out Urban Rustic--the produce pictures on their website look great. Apartment Therapy The Kitchen | Store Review: Urban Rustic |

And a discreet dart or two will help the fabric lie straight on the curved part of the chair (you might need this on both the back and the front). Apartment Therapy Los Angeles | Good Question: Can this chair work with this fabric? |

When you remove the fabric, you might just be able to undo the scalloping. If now, I think covering it tightly with a layer or two of thick batting would help. This chair seems like it has a pretty similar back, so it might give you some ideas: Apartment Therapy Los Angeles | Good Question: Can this chair work with this fabric? |

Whoah. The link to the Cherry Wall Flower Lotus at SewMaSew is disturbingly different than the fabric in your picture (on my screen, the link fabric is a bright orange). It brings up a good point that I forgot to make when I entered my January Jumpstart project--ordering swatches!! That's one of the reasons I decided to go with Fabric.com, they were the only place from which I could order swatches (it costs a few dollars, but they send a nice big piece--about 10x10). Maybe I'm especially picky, but ordering fabric online based on the color on your monitor seems crazy to me! I don't understand why more fabric stores online don't make swatches available.
