Brass Monkey! It's technically a Olde English 40 oz mixed with Orange Juice, but I use any cheap beer. Deeelicious.

The OJ totally cancels out the booze when they meet the tummy, yes?

I love this so much I'm almost angry that I can't have it. Was this originally a house? Are the doors with the windows original to the space? Everything is so well edited. I love love love it! And the kitchen! So beautiful!

I love the breeze system! We have one for two cats in our apartment and it's the best litter system we've had.

Smitten Kitchen's Baked Brownies are the most wonderful brownie I've ever eaten.

I bake them in a mini muffin tin, the chipotle adds quite a kick, and I can only take them in small doses.

We have a three-foot plastic tree (painted gold!) on our mantel in the living room. It's short enough to fit up there, and the cats haven't figured out how to climb to the mantel, luckily. I also left the back part of the tree flat and made the front of the tree even more full.

Grocery store bakeries usually have them and are willing to sell them for very little. They also sell cake boards which definitely come in handy for transporting/serving.

After moving in with my honey, we started collecting ornaments that we (ok...just me) found at flea markets and thrift stores around town. I love the look of older ornaments, and prefer their toned down colors and rough edges, it helps to blend the tree in with the rest of our home, which is furnished by the same standards. Though they don't have a unique story, each one is new and exciting to us. I appreciate how long such delicate items have survived and almost feel that we were destined to find them. That they made it all those years just to be scooped up and loved by us.
