Well done! Petite and perfect. I agree that making the place you live into a space you really want to spend time in and a reflection of yourself, whether it's a rental or not, is key to making it your home.

Thanks for the nice comments everyone! We've installed a veggie box since those pics were taken - we hope to put in a deck this summer too. :)

@Alexis - we usually remove our shoes before coming into the house - but yes, the pea gravel does sometimes get stuck into shoes with wide tread.

we recently found a fairly large piece at a thrift shop! My husband found another last year in a vintage store. This method can take a while though. I'd recommend keeping an eye out for your local art gallery nights and frequently those. There are great local artists in every city.

looove that gray. have had a similar paint color chip taped up to my bedroom wall, behind my same (in white) bed for months. maybe this is a sign to commit already. and those sheets? yes please.

the after is quite beautiful and cozy too. really digging that orange/black/gray combo on the big pillows.

love this...been doing the same for years. I saw a version of this in a wonderously lovely Palm Springs home at the time. BUT, i recommend slightly larger rocks than pebbles. I actually lost a smallish pebble down the drain when I didn't realize a smaller one was stuck to the soap. woops. i'm more careful now...

@wormy I got similar pavers at lowes. Though mine are the plain gray concrete kind and are 18". The ones in the pic look like they're poured and stained.

Am seriously considering this cabana look! it's gorgeous!

We are saving for a cool elfa system to reconfigure the deep but very narrow existing closet so we can fit everything. Because we are lucky enough to have the deep closet, the rolling rack has become our "active file" of clothes.

Any thoughts on elfa?
