I work for a textile company and when we have something discontinued or slightly damaged, I contact one of our local schools that have an interiors dept. Preschools are another great place - they might be able to use the samples in an art project.

I sit in a Life Chair everyday - and really nothing can compare! I'd suggest getting the ultra seat topper which is a little cushier. I'd also purchase from a dealership - DWR only carries a limited amount of options - at a dealership you'd be able to pick any finish and choose from hundreds of knolltextiles or leathers.

check out Knolltextiles - they are commercial grade fabrics and they sell to the public without a designer. They'll even send memo samples if you call your local showroom.

oh i've got the bird and the womb- i'd say the womb is more comfy, but the bird rocks a little and thats fun too.
