I just did this, purchasing a cabinet before renovations were complete. Turns out the wall I had it pegged for is not going to accommodate it. It was $2000! I guess I can fit it somewhere else. :(

Looks fabulous. Why did they paint wood rather than refinish?

This is perfect. I am going to Paris next month. I want to know all the great local Parisian goodies. I am particularly looking for a modern alarm clock.

Also, do you know the best way to get the treasures home? Post? What are the Customs rules? What are the rules/costs for sending stuff home?

We will be staying part of the visit in the Marais area--so any great shops you see there would be great to know.
